02/10/10: 47375 seen at Wansford running light to Peterborough during the morning. Did this, or any 47, work at the Mid Norfolk Railway last month? If not, then this may be the first day that 375 has worked a train carrying passengers since its repaint.

02/10/10: 47375 at Ferry Meadows working the 1130 back from Peterborough to Wansford. Unusually it's green circle sticker has been positioned under the multiple working socket, at both ends of the loco.

02/10/10: 47375 departs from Peterborough. The 'Tinsley rose' headboard is fitting because, as well as an association with the depot, the loco was once also named Tinsley Traction Depot.

02/10/10: 47791 at Barrow Hill, as per other ex Parcels locos now in use again on the main line (500/580/727/739/749/760/786/787/790/804) this former EWS loco has also had its time devision multiplex cables and jumpers removed and the housing that the sockets used to rest in - long a familiarity of a 47/7 front end, though the top part can still be seen in situ, as can be seen in yesterdays photo of 47760. Some locos have had these completely removed. 47769 and 47773 still have their TDM equipment fully in place.
Of the 12 ex Res 47/7s in use on the main line, five have had green circle multiple working capability added; Colas 727/739/749, Riviera 769 and DRS 790.
Work on 47791 seems to have stopped a long time ago, and no multiple working sockets have been added to it.

02/10/10: 47810, 47813, 47818 and 47828 are the four ex Cotswold Rail locos to be found at Barrow Hill. 47828 has now had its Cotswold Rail branding removed, this may possibly be true about 47813. 47818 has had a main line run recently and is the only one of the four to have not been fitted with green circle multiple working sockets. 47810 is the only one to be known to be heading to DRS but this has not yet worked for them, or even left Barrow Hill since its repaint/brand.

02/10/10: The same can be said for the DRS owned 47841, previously a Freightliner loco.

On the left, in the shed with a headboard on it is out of service 47787, to the right are 47851 and the loco partially blocked on the right is 47760. 47826 and 57601 later moved to be in front of 47804 to allow DRS 47802 to leave the depot and head back to Carlisle. 47270 was also present, out of view to the right of the photo on a track near the exit of the depot.

24/10/10: 47810 and 47841 waiting for something exciting to happen at Barrow Hill. 841 - a 47/8 which has escaped recently from Freightliner - but hasn't worked a passenger train since 27th August 2005 when it was a Freightliner loco but on hire to Arriva Trains Wales via Riviera.
The only other surviving 47/8s that haven't worked a passenger train for longer are 47816 and 47830 - which both went to Freightliner from Virgin after finishing with FGW and in 830's case hasn't worked a passenger train since December 2004, and 47829. 47811 joined Freightliner directly from FGW and worked for them still in 2006.
Other 47/8s to have left Freightliner are 805, 812, 829, 843, (847?), 848 - which were hired from Porterbrook after use with Virgin and all later moved to Riviera - with only 47829 of those having moved on since.
