25/05/91: In the middle is 47593 whilst working the Inverness sleeper, it had come to assist 47806 which failed at milepost 51.25 on the Highland Main Line at Drumochter. 806 was on a Nenta tour from North Walsham to Kyle. 593 assisted from mp51.25 to Dalwhinnie where 47604 took over the Nenta. In the image above the train consisted of 47806(dead)+load 12+47593+load 14!!! The return NENTA was worked by 47801 with 47806 dead in tow from Inverness to Perth for 806 forward alone. 47801 being in that area is a bit of a mystery! Copyright: Andy Ashton

27/07/91: This is a very clean ex-works 47211 after arrival at Manchester Victoria with the booked no-heat turn, the 1354 from Holyhead. This was the first Fragonset owned class 47 to be broken up on site at Eastleigh where it had been dumped for many years. The cabs were cut off and sold on auction site eBay! Copyright: Andy Barnes
