25/05/97: 47972, recently scrapped, seen at Doncaster having backed on to the mk4 DVT at the front of the 0930 Newcastle to Kings Cross, which 972 would haul to Newark North Gate.

31/07/97: 47817 at Reading. Although this livery was something different to photograph, and certainly easier to photograph than something like modern-day WCRC dark maroon, this Porterbrook design was liked by few, perhaps with the exception of Northern Rail who experimented with these colours in recent times for their own fleet livery(!)

11/08/97: Another 525 memory, 1M79 1647 Reading to Liverpool Lime Street, with 47849 in tow - seen before departure from Reading. 525 was withdrawn in May 1998. As mentioned with the 615 photo recently, 525 was another of the ETH capable Brush to receive a freight livery, though 525 and 540 are the last survivors to still carry those colours (helped by almost 12 years in store of course in 525's case!)
