NABI L1189L - low floor


On top of FBY-805 which was exported to Malta, after Optare's takeover by NABI, at least 14 right hand drive NABI badged Excel 2s were built in Kaposvar, Hungary, for use in Hungary.

The internet, involving mostly Hungarian language sites, has been searched for information. Working in Gyor, in western Hungary for Kisalfold Volan ('Small Plains of Volan') are:

(KCM-452) - entered service 06/03 (rereg from IOF-550 in 03/06)

By January 2012, KCM-448 was noted as being re-registered again as FLR-336, and KCM-452 was LRD-213.

    NABI purchased Optare in early 2000.
    NABI sold Optare in July 2005, Excel production had long since ceased.
