Not the first 47 to carry advertising of course, 47627 (in the lighter maroon of course!) carried advertising for 'Celebrations' chocolates and even hauled matching branded parcels vehicles in the late 90s. Any other 47 adverts?

      19/07/08: 47004 at Bolton Abbey - note the headcode box panel, about which the photographer says "on first appearance, it looks like a conventional plate but on closer inspection, it was just held in place by two screws, one on each sided of the panel and in the morning, it was actually the other way round, showing a black textured finish".     • After recent poor loadings, it would seem that all of the future DRS' Stobart Pullman charter services have been cancelled (to be deleted from the future tour workings page). DRS, after acquiring the passenger license from Victa Westlink, dropped several existing charter operators at the time who had operated with Victa Westlink so that they could concentrate entirely on this Pullman venture.
      The DRS 47s have returned to Crewe as a result, awaiting future developments.
    • 47826 has received advertising (vinyls presumably) on one side only for the Scarborough Spa Express.
      12/07/08: 47851 stands at Boston with the 1430 Skegness-Nottingham. This service and the outward 1021 from Nottingham are currently entered in TRUST to run for the next four Saturdays.

    31/05/08: 47843 departing York exactly an hour late on the 1008 York-Sunderland after the ECS from Tyne Yard departed very late. After last Saturdays FGW extra that this worked with 853, the pair moved to Wembley and were hauled on Tuesday evening to Bescot on a 6G19. On Wednesday they were joined at Bescot by 839 which had come from Toton and the three moved to Warrington. 843 them moved on 6S73 on Wednesday evening behind a class 92 to Mossend, moving again on Thursday (presumably in tow???) on 6E93 2131 Mossend-Tyne Yard.

    31/05/08: 47843 having left York on 1Z76 1422 York-Sunderland. The set had reversed formation on Thursday night after the Hartlepool termination, the ECS arriving at Tyne Yard from the north. It returned to its normal formation with 815 on the north end by the start of service on Friday though because of the additional working from Sunderland-York in the morning, rather than the usual direct Tyne Yard-York ECS. The Friday evening direct ECS was cancelled though and 815 worked an extra 1Z28 1940 York-Sunderland, then ECS via Gateshead to Tyne Yard. This means that by Saturday morning 815 was on the south end to work direct from Tyne Yard-York (see photo of 815 above).
